Anthony fulmes

Following graduation at the University of Alberta with a BSc in Cartography, Anthony joined the Canadian Armed Forces for a life of service and adventure.

​

For 30 years he travelled the world serving his country and various UN peacekeeping missions in the Balkans, Sierra Leone, Sudan, the Middle East when his work brought him to Belize, a place that one day he would call home.  While working around the world he took every chance to explore and immerse himself in the cultures of where his boots and rucksack took him, especially food and local beverage culture!  Like many he became particularly interested in wine.  From touring wine regions, keeping tasting logs, creating a personal cellar and taking every single hobbyist class he could, he turned that hobby into a career and became a Sommelier through graduating from Algonquin College Sommelier Program.

Anthony has clients that range from private clubs, restaurants and events that include international diplomatic dinners and Vice Regal events.  Now based in Belize, Anthony is working with local resorts and restaurants to train staff, build wine cellars and consult on food and wine pairing.  Contact Anthony to find out how he and his team at The Grape Escape can help you.
